Riding to Spurs

On Saturday a small group of us rode from the neighbourhood through to White Hart Lane – were given a stadium tour by THFC – and then rode back. It was a beautiful morning and the ride through Downhills Park, Lordship Rec, past Tower Gardens, Tottenham Cemetery, Bruce Castle Park and then on to Spurs was fantastic. We took the time to stop off at the playground in Bruce Castle for a quick play on the swings before heading out on the stadium tour. Since there was only a handful of us, we got treated to a more informal look around White Hart Lane – it was a brilliant opportunity to explore a local landmark, which is set to be knocked down within the next 3-4 years. For all those were unable to make it this weekend, I would definetely recommend the trip to Spurs – if only for the fascinating insight into the history of the local area.
