On Sunday, the BBC released an article on the design session we held on Saturday 15th January –

Haringey residents see street re-designs

Initial results of a street re-design in north London have been unveiled to residents who helped shape them.

Transport charity Sustrans has been working with the community and the council to transform an area near Turnpike Lane Tube station.

A drop-in session allowed people to see how their ideas had helped shape the designs as well as give feedback.

For six months people living in the area have been offering ideas for the two-year DIY Streets project.

The Haringey council-funded scheme is part of a wider initiative by Sustrans to transform local neighbourhoods into safer, more attractive places to live.

Proposed measures are designed to reduce traffic speed and volume, improve lighting, redesign junctions, create safer public spaces and create a cohesive sense of community.

A talk on the plans, followed by a question-and-answer session, will be held at the church hall in Waldeck Rd on 29 January.
