Beech Croft Road – Oxford Update

Some good news from the DIY Streets Beech Croft Road project in Oxford – since the completion of the project traffic speeds (in both directions) are down to 16mph from an average of 21mph taken in 2005. This is a considerable change – especially when you consider that 5% of pedestrians when hit by a car at 20mph are killed, in comparison to 3.5% at 15mph.
