Local Developments

I noticed this morning that the old Burger King shop front and been divided into two halves, one of which (the corner) is due to become a Costa Coffeeshop. I assume most residents will see this as a good thing and hopefully they won’t take too much business away from surrounding businesses. The back half of the building is still unoccupied although the notice in the window is a license application for a betting shop. It would seem to the be the general consensus in the area that there are already a number of betting shops and anymore would be unwelcome by residents. According to the notice in the shop window consultation has closed, but if you feel strongly about this issue I advise you to contact your local MP David Lammy here or Haringey Council here.

Great link to Lammy. Email sent against betting shop in 2 mins.

  2. I’m glad it was useful – David Lammy has been quite outspoken about betting shops recently so now is as good a time as any.
